Energy Savers has served the air conditioning and other HVAC needs for Columbus, Georgia and Opelika, Alabama communities for more than 40 years now. We know a thing or two about keeping homes and businesses cool! We’re also passionate about saving home and business owners energy. It’s right in our name!
Saving energy is good for everyone plus it saves money. Give us an opportunity to help you with a free estimate or a second opinion.
Although we’re a proud Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, our HVAC technicians are trained to repair every brand. We participate in the nationally-recognized training certification for HVAC technicians known as North American Technician Excellence, or NATE.
This certification assures customers our technicians can handle repairs and service for any make or model. They continually update their skills through training sessions to stay on top of emerging HVAC technology.
If you’re not sure whether you need a repair, here are some criteria:
- Does your air conditioning send out hot air? Has your energy bill spiked with no explanation? Does your air conditioner start and stop frequently?
- Are there strange noises coming from your air conditioner? Typical “help me” sounds are described as squeals, screeches, clicks, grinding or clanks. All HVAC equipment makes a noise when it comes on or shuts down, but if you hear something odd, give us a call.
- Do you smell something odd? Odors like burning or something musty should be investigated.
We Offer Preventative Maintenance
The easiest way to take care of your critical home systems is to invest in an air conditioning preventative maintenance plan. We call ours Priority Service Plans and they come in three options.
All three levels include a precision heating service for your furnace or heat pump as well as a precision cooling service for your air conditioner or heat pump. Air conditioners should have a tune-up once a year while heat pumps should have two. Why? Because they heat and cool your home, they never have “time off.”
We recommend tune-ups in the spring and in the fall. This way, your air conditioner or heat pump is ready before summer weather arrives. In the fall, your heat pump or furnace is prepared for winter’s chill.
Additional benefits of the Priority Service Plans include discounts, upgrade credits and extra hours for emergency services.
Precision Air Conditioning Service + Safety Check
Our AC service and safety check starts with a comprehensive inspection of your cooling system. We clean components and lubricate the moving parts, such as the condenser fan. Our technicians test all electrical switches and controls. We verify the communication between your air conditioning unit and your thermostat is accurate.
Indoor Air Quality Issues Related to Air Conditioning in Alabama and Georgia
House cleaning is a chore, but are you glad when it’s done – especially when you see all the yuck in the vacuum canister you’ve removed from your living space. Imagine what’s in the places you can’t see, like your ductwork.
As HVAC contractors, we see it all. And we can help.
Common indoor pollutants include mold, mildew, dust mites, pollen, pet hair and dander as well as airborne virus and bacteria particulates. These accumulate in your ducts and circulate in your air.
These airborne particles aggravate respiratory illness and certain cardiac conditions. Improve the air you breathe at home with regular air conditioning service and products including media air cleaners, air purifiers, dehumidifiers and regular air filter changes.
Duct Cleaning, Aeroseal Duct Sealing
At Energy Savers, we offer ductwork services including air duct cleaning and the Aeroseal technology. It’s a great idea to periodically hire a professional to clean your air ducts, especially when you move into a new home or complete a major renovation.
Aeroseal technology addresses the problem of leaks in ductwork. The majority of homes have leaks in their ducts. You pay to heat or condition air and then a portion escapes out of these leaks before it reaches your rooms.
Plus, dust, debris and other contaminants enter your ductwork through these leaks. Aeroseal technology coats the inside of your ductwork and prevents this. Your ducts are cleaner and energy-efficiency increases dramatically.
Finance Options in Alabama and Georgia
At Energy Savers, we know air conditioning is about more than comfort. In many cases, it’s about safety or your health. Fighting with an outdated, inefficient system and constant repairs are a strain mentally and financially.
When you upgrade to a new system, you immediately gain energy savings. You’ll enjoy lower utility bills and your home is comfortable. Financing helps your household budget too, with manageable payments spread over a longer period of time.
It’s easier to take advantage of limited-time promotions too. You save time because you’re no longer solving air conditioner problems or rearranging schedules to meet an HVAC technician.
There are many benefits to HVAC finance, so please ask us if you’re curious.
